Tahlanna MISKOKOMON Was Arrested

(MUNSEE-DELAWARE FIRST NATION, ON) – Suspicious vehicle results in impaired driving charge.

On May 12, 2025, at 8:33 p.m., members of the Chippewas of the Thames First Nation Police and Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were dispatched to an address on Jubilee Road in Munsee-Delaware First Nation for the report of a suspicious vehicle.

The vehicle was located stationary in a parking lot, at which time a traffic stop was initiated.

As a result, Tahlanna MISKOKOMON, a 26-year-old of Chippewas of the Thames First Nation, has been charged under the Criminal Code with:

·      Operation while impaired – alcohol

·      Failure or refusal to comply with demand

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice to speak to the charges on June 25, 2025.

The Middlesex OPP wants to remind the public that if you see anything suspicious or suspect an impaired driver you should contact the Ontario Provincial Police or your nearest police authority immediately.

One Dead, Two Arrested

(MUNSEE-DELAWARE FIRST NATION, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Middlesex County Crime Unit is investigating the death of a female located at the scene of a collision.

On Saturday, April 12, 2025, at approximately 5:30 a.m., members of the Oneida Police Service, Chippewas of the Thames Police Service and Middlesex County and Elgin County OPP, as well as fire and emergency medical services, responded to a single vehicle collision on Jubilee Road, near Dodem Way in Munsee-Delaware First Nation.

A female, located unresponsive at the scene, was transported to hospital where she was pronounced deceased.

It was determined that two males involved in the incident had fled and were involved in the theft of a vehicle. One male was located in the area and was taken into custody without incident.

The second male was involved in a collision in Oxford County and then stole another vehicle, which was later involved in a collision on Highway 24 in the County of Brant. The male then fled on foot.

Members of the Brantford Police Service (BPS), OPP Aviation Services, the OPP Emergency Response Team and Canine Units from the OPP and BPS located and arrested an individual at a nearby residence without further incident. No injuries were reported for either of the males.

Both males remain in custody in relation to the stolen vehicles and are scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice located in London at a later date. The investigation into the multiple collisions is continuing.

The investigation into the death of the female, located at the initial collision scene, remains ongoing under the direction of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch, in conjunction with the Office of the Chief Coroner and Ontario Forensic Pathology Service.

Pedestrian Collision – Melanie NICHOLAS-SNAKE Arrested

(MUNSEE-DELAWARE FIRST NATION, ON) – Driver charged with impaired after vehicle strikes pedestrian.

On March 29, 2025, at 6:13 a.m., members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Munsee-Delaware First Nation Police, Chippewas of the Thames First Nation Police, Oneida Nation Police and Middlesex-London Paramedic Service were dispatched to Middlemiss Drive in in Munsee-Delaware First Nation for the report of a single vehicle collision involving a pedestrian.

The driver of the vehicle was placed under arrest and transported to the Middlesex County OPP detachment.

The pedestrian was transported to hospital as a precaution with minor injuries.

As a result, Melanie NICHOLAS-SNAKE, a 23-year-old of Melbourne, has been charged under the Criminal Code with:

·      Operation while impaired – alcohol

·      Dangerous operation

·      Assault with A Weapon

The accused was released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice on April 24, 2025, to speak to the charges.

Dennis HENRY – Break & Enter

(MUNSEE-DELAWARE FIRST NATION, ON) – Individual facing charges after daytime break and enter in Munsee-Delaware First Nation.

On February 27, 2025, at 9:50 a.m., members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), were dispatched to an address on Middlemiss Drive in Munsee-Delaware First Nation for the report of a break and enter in progress.

Officers arrived on scene and located an individual fleeing from the property on foot.

The male was located and arrested not far from the scene.

As a result, Dennis HENRY, a 33-year-old of Chippewas of the Thames First Nation, has been charged under the Criminal Code with:

  • Break, Enter a dwelling house with intent to commit indictable offence
  • Mischief Under $ 5,000

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice on April 22, 2025, to speak to the charges.

Coby FLEWELLING – Assault

(MUNSEE-DELAWARE FIRST NATION, ON) – Disturbance at a residence in Munsee-Delaware First Nation leads to charges. 

On December 31, 2024, at 1:44 p.m., members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Oneida Nation Police and Chippewas of the Thames Police were dispatched to an address on Middlemiss Drive, Munsee-Delaware First Nation, for the report of a disturbance.

Investigation revealed the victim had been assaulted by a family member.

The injuries were determined to be non-life threatening.

As a result, Coby FLEWELLING, a 21-year-old of Munsee Delaware First Nation has been charged under the Criminal Code with:

  • Assault Causing Bodily Harm
  • Discharge Air Gun or Pistol with Intent

The accused was held for bail.

Alexander FLEWELLING – Violent Robbery, Assault & Threats

(MUNSEE-DELAWARE FIRST NATION, ON) – Individual facing charges after incident in Munsee-Delaware First Nation.

On October 23, 2024, at approximately 4:53 p.m., members of the Munsee-Delaware First Nation Police and Chippewas of the Thames Police were dispatched to an address on Thomigo Road in Munsee-Delaware First Nation for the report of a disturbance.

Investigation revealed the accused assaulted a known individual, then proceeded to steal the victims keys.

The accused fled the area prior to police arrival.  

Police located the accused at which time they were taken into custody.

As a result, Alexander FLEWELLING, a 23-year-old of Munsee-Delaware First Nation, has been charged under the criminal code with:

  • Robbery with violence
  • Uttering Threats – Cause death or Bodily Harm-Spousal
  • Assault

The accused was held for bail.

There were no serious injuries reported.
