$11.5 Million “Drug” Bust

 (ST. WILLIAMS, ON) – Police seized illegal cannabis plants and processed cannabis bud valued at more than $11.5 million following a Cannabis Act investigation.

On Wednesday, April 24, 2025, the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Provincial Joint Forces Cannabis Enforcement Team (PJFCET) responded to a location in St. Williams, following a referral from Health Canada regarding cannabis being grown in contravention of the issued registrations. Assistance was provided by the OPP Emergency Response Team and the OPP Urban Search and Rescue, Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear and Explosives Response Team.

Investigators located and seized approximately 11,475 illegal cannabis plants, as well as approximately 75 pounds of dried, processed cannabis.

This investigation is currently ongoing, and charges will be laid if applicable.
