Eric MAINVILLE Was Arrested

(LIMOGES, ON) – A 43-year-old is facing multiple charges after police witnessed dangerous driving in Limoges.

On Monday, May 19, 2025, shortly after 3:00 p.m., a member of the Ontario Provincial Police East Region TIME (Traffic Incident Management Enforcement) team observed a vehicle being driven dangerously through a residential area, while children playing.

The officer attempted to stop the vehicle, and the then driver fled on foot. An arrest was made a short time later.

Eric MAINVILLE of Limoges has been charged under the Criminal Code and Highway Traffic Act with:

  • Dangerous operation
  • Operation while prohibited under the Criminal Code
  • Driving while under suspension

The accused has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in L’Orignal on September 3, 2025.

The vehicle was impounded for 45-days.

Serious Injuries – Jo Ellen BAXTER Arrested

(LANSDOWNE, ON) – A driver faces multiple charges after they were involved in a serious collision on Highway 401.

On Wednesday, March 26, 2025, shortly after 7:00 a.m., members of the Leeds County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were dispatched to reports of a head-on, three-vehicle collision near mile marker 652 in the westbound direction. Two of the drivers sustained minor injuries, while the third driver sustained serious injuries. This driver was transported to a regional trauma center, where their injuries were determined to be non-life-threatening.

Leeds County OPP’s investigation, assisted by OPP Collision Reconstructionists and Technical Traffic Collision Investigators, has now resulted in charges.

28-year-old Jo Ellen BAXTER of Thunder Bay is charged with:

  • Dangerous operation causing bodily harm
  • Driving motor vehicle with liquor readily available – Liquor Licence and Control Act
  • Drive vehicle or boat with cannabis readily available – Cannabis Control Act

The accused was released and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Brockville on May 30, 2025.

200Km/h – Corey JACKSON Arrested

(BURLINGTON, ON) – A driver was arrested and charged criminally after being observed speeding excessively and passing on the shoulder of the QEW in Burlington.

On Monday, March 3, 2025, at 10:48 p.m., an Officer from the Burlington OPP detachment observed a vehicle travelling at an extremely high rate of speed on the Fort Erie bound QEW near Guelph Line in the City of Burlington.

The vehicle was a dark coloured SUV with the 4-way flashers activated and was estimated to be driving in excess of 200 km/h at times and using the shoulder to pass vehicles. The vehicle was stopped just before the Burlington Skyway bridge and the driver was placed under arrest for Dangerous Operation of a motor vehicle.

As a result of the investigation, Corey JACKSON, age 45, from Sudbury has been charged with:

·      Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle

The accused was released from custody and is set to appear on April 7th, 2025, at the Ontario Court of Justice, Burlington.

This vehicle description and driving action matches other recent incidents on the QEW reported to Police by drivers between Burlington and Niagara.

February 27, 2025, 1:47 p.m., 4 independent witnesses reporting on a similar vehicle driving dangerously on the Toronto bound QEW

Police are investigating as to whether these incidents are also linked to the involved vehicle and driver. The OPP is asking anyone who may have dashcam footage or information related to these incidents to contact the OPP at 1-888-310-1122.

The OPP relies on the public to report crime. Dangerous Driving is a serious crime, if you observe someone driving dangerously, or suspect that someone is driving while impaired by alcohol or drugs, it is important to call 9-1-1 to report it.

Labour Dispute – One Arrested

Waterloo Region, Ontario – Waterloo Regional Police responded to a collision involving a pedestrian in Woolwich Township.

On March 3, 2025, at approximately 7:40 p.m., police responded to a report of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle in the area of Airport Road and Fountain Street North.

The pedestrian was part of a labour dispute in the area at the time of the incident. The driver of the motor vehicle struck the pedestrian as they were proceeding past picketers.

There were no reports of any physical injuries.

The driver was stopped by police and arrested for dangerous driving.

For public safety reasons, WRPS advised the public to avoid the area for the safety of the group and drivers.

WRPS’ Police Liaison Team continue to work with involved parties to preserve the peace, prevent offences, and enforce the law.

Doug Ford Involved In Collision

(PICKERING, ON) – Charges have been laid following a two-vehicle collision on Highway 401 in the City of Pickering.

On January 8, 2025, at approximately 12:30 p.m., officers from the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Highway Safety Division were called to a two-vehicle collision on the westbound lanes of Highway 401, approaching Brock Road. One of the vehicles was operated by the OPP Protective Services Section.

Two occupants of one of the vehicles were taken to hospital with minor injuries where they were treated and released. No injuries were reported by occupants of the other vehicle, which included Ontario Premier Doug Ford.

As a result of the investigation, an 18-year-old from Oshawa was charged with dangerous driving contrary to the Criminal Code. The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Oshawa on February 20, 2025.

Hit & Run Driver Sends One To Hospital – Name Withheld #LikelyACop

(HURON EAST, ON) – On June 17, 2024, the Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a collision on Winthrop Road in the Municipality of Huron East.

Officers responded with members of Huron East Fire and Emergency Services at approximately 7:50 a.m. for a two-vehicle collision.

An 80-year-old passenger from Stratford was transported to hospital with nonlife threatening injuries.

An involved driver fled the scene on foot. Officers from Huron OPP, members of the West Region Emergency Response Team, and K-9 members were in the area continuing the investigation.

On June 18, 2024, Police arrested a 38-year-old from Central Huron with the following charges:

  • Dangerous Driving Cause bodily harm.
  • Fail to stop at accident.
  • Drive while under suspension.
  • Drive motor vehicle no licence.
  • Operate motor vehicle without insurance.

The individual remains in custody at this time. The Huron OPP continue to investigate.
