Cocaine Bust

On May 21, 2025, at 4:50 PM, the Major Case Action Team (MCAT) with support from the Emergency Response Team (ERT), and the Canine Unit executed a search warrant at a residence on Vidal Street South in Sarnia.

A search of the residence resulted in the seizure of the following: 

  • 70.44 grams of cocaine
  • 9.30 grams of crystal methamphetamine
  • Drug trafficking paraphernalia
  • HW USP .177 Cal BB Gun
  • $2090 in Canadian currency

The estimated street value of the seized drugs is approximately $9010.00

Bradley Bruce SEGUIN (37-years-old) of Sarnia was held for a bail hearing and charged with:

  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking (2 counts – cocaine and crystal methamphetamine)
  • Possession of a firearm contrary to a prohibition order
  • Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000
  • Fail to comply with probation

Drug Bust, Stolen Property Recovered – Names Released

(MIDLAND, ON) – As a result of an ongoing police investigation, members of the OPP Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) from the Southern Georgian Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) executed a search warrant with the assistance members of the OPP Tactics and Rescue Unit (TRU) and uniform members at a Seventh Street near Ottawa Street, Midland, residential address at approximately 4:45 a.m. May 23, 2025.

OPP Officers entered the residential address at approximately 4:45 a.m. May 23, 2025, arresting six individuals inside the home and during the following search located a stolen 2022 Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle, stolen licence plates, a number of edged weapons, and a quantity of Methamphetamine, Crack Cocaine.

Two individuals were released at the scene another was released after investigation and three individuals were charged criminally as follows;

(1) Gerrit John GABEL 33 years of Midland with

  • Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose
  • Possession Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000 – in Canada
  • Possession of a Schedule III Substance
  • Possession of a Schedule I Substance- Cocaine

(2) Alexander WOZNICA 33 years of Midland with

  • Possession Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000 – in Canada (two counts)
  • Possession of a Schedule I Substance – Methamphetamine

And further with

  • Driving while under suspension
  • Drive motor vehicle – Perform stunt

Contrary to the Highway Traffic Act

Accused persons 1-2 have been released from custody to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice at a future date.

(3) Natasha PRINCE 26 years of Barrie was arrested on a outstanding warrant for Failure to Attend Court on related charges and held for a bail hearing and will appear before the Ontario Court of Justice at a future date.

Shawn MILLER Facing Numerous Charges

(PAPINEAU-CAMERON, ON) – A person wanted in connection with several criminal offences committed in December 2024 has been arrested by the North Bay Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) in Papineau-Cameron Township.

With the assistance of specialized OPP units – including the North Bay Criminal Investigation Unit, Emergency Response Team (ERT), Canine Unit, Crisis Negotiators, Tactics and Rescue Unit (TRU), Remotely Piloted Aerial System (RPAS), Northeast Regional Support Team, and Critical Incident Command (CIC) – officers executed a warrant and arrested the individual without incident.

Shawn MILLER, 52 years-of-age of Mattawa, is facing the following charges:

·        Pointing a firearm

·        Reckless discharge of a firearm

·        Possess firearm contrary to prohibition order – three counts

·        Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose

·        Careless storage of firearm

·        Assault with a weapon – spousal

·        Assault – spousal – two counts

·        Uttering threats – cause death or bodily harm – spousal

·        Uttering threats – damage or injure animal

·        Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000

·        Failure to comply with release order – two counts

·        Fail to comply with probation order – two counts

·        Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine

·        Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – Methamphetamine

Drug Bust – 3 Arrested

(BANCROFT, ON) – Three people face trafficking charges after a drug seizure in Faraday Township.

The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) East Region Community Street Crime Unit began an investigation earlier this spring.

On Thursday, May 22, 2025, Community Street Crime Unit and Bancroft OPP members, assisted by the OPP Emergency Response Team, executed a search warrant at a residence on Highway 28 South in Faraday Township.

Officers seized:

  • Almost 20 grams of suspected fentanyl
  • Over 160 grams of suspected cocaine
  • Over 20 grams of suspected heroin
  • Suspected crystal methamphetamine
  • Over 20 grams of suspected MDMA
  • Suspected Psilocybin
  • 20 suspected methamphetamine (speed) pills
  • Over 300 suspected hydromorphone pills,
  • 50 suspected oxycodone pills
  • Over 20 suspected morphine pills
  • Suspected lorazepam pills
  • Over $900 in cash
  • 1 cell phone
  • 3 scales

Roseanne HARRIS of Faraday Township, age 46, Jordan MORIN of Peterborough, age 28, and Erica OLMSTEAD of Hastings Highlands, age 30 have each been charged with:

  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – 9 counts
  • Possession of a Schedule II substance for the purpose of trafficking
  • Possession of a Schedule IV substance for the purpose of trafficking
  • Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5000

Additionally, HARRIS was charged with two counts of breach of a release order and OLMSTEAD was charged with breach of a probation order.

All three accused were remanded into custody. OLMSTEAD and MORIN have a court date in the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville on May 27, 2025, while HARRIS has a court date of May 29, 2025.

Drug Bust – Names Released

(THUNDER BAY, ON) – Six individuals are facing multiple charges following a three-week long investigation that led to the seizure of suspected cocaine, crystal methamphetamine, fentanyl, Percocet pills and illicit cannabis.

Between April 21, 2025, and May 9, 2025 members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Thunder Bay Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) with support from the OPP Canine Unit, OPP Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau, and Thunder Bay Police Service Canine Unit investigated incidents of drug trafficking throughout Northwestern Ontario.

During the investigation and during the execution of two search warrants at residences in the City of Thunder Bay, officers seized suspected cocaine, crystal methamphetamine, fentanyl, Percocet pills and illicit cannabis.

As a result of the investigation, six people have been charged and face numerous charges under the Criminal CodeControlled Drugs and Substances Act and Cannabis Act.

Maurice BARTLEY, 57-years-old of Thunder Bay has been charged with:

  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Opioid

The accused was released from custody and will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Thunder Bay on July 9, 2025.

Steve GROOMBRIDGE, 42-years-old of Thunder Bay has been charged with:

  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Opioid
  • Possession Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000

The accused was remanded into custody.

Lennox MATTINAS, 48-years-old of Thunder Bay has been charged with:

  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Opioid

The accused was remanded into custody

Jasen Dowhaniuk, 43-years-old of Thunder Bay has been charged with:

  • Possession for the purpose of distributing

The accused will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Thunder Bay on July 30, 2025 to answer to the above charges.

Alleysha Henry, 27-years-old of Thunder Bay has been charged with:

  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine

The accused was released from custody and will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Thunder on June 5, 2025 to answer to the above charge.

Leah NEWMAN, 49-years-old of Langley, BC has been charged with:

  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – Cocaine
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – Methamphetamine
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – other drugs

The accused was released from custody and will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Thunder Bay on June 4, 2025 to answer to the above charges.

3 Arrested In Drug Bust

(ORILLIA, ON) – An investigation led by the Orillia Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) of the Orillia Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has resulted in the arrest of three individuals and a quantity of suspected cocaine, fentanyl, hydromorphone pills and Canadian and American currency.

On May 14, 2025, at approximately 9:00 pm, members of the Orillia CSCU, Central Region Emergency Response Team (ERT) including the Canine Unit, as well as Central Region Tactics and Rescue Unit (TRU) assisted in executing a search warrant at an address on West Street South in the City of Orillia.

As a result of the investigation, three people were arrested and face numerous Criminal and Controlled Drugs and Substances related charges.

Dorthy DARES, 50-year-old of Orillia, was charged with:

–       Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000 (CC),

–       Possession of a Prohibited Device or Ammunition (CC),

–       Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine (CDSA), and

–       Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Opioid x2 (CDSA)

Daniel MCMANUS, 29-year-old of Orillia, was charged with:

–       Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000 (CC),

–       Possession of a Prohibited Device or Ammunition (CC),

–       Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine (CDSA), and

–       Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Opioid x2 (CDSA)

Trent VOLLICK, 24-year-old of No Fixed Address, was charged with:

–       Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000 (CC),

–       Possession of a Prohibited Device or Ammunition x2 (CC),

–       Possession of Firearm or Ammunition contrary to Prohibition Order x2 (CC),

–       Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine (CDSA), and

–       Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Opioid x2 (CDSA)

All three individuals were held in custody for a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Orillia the following day.

Over 300 grams of Cocaine, over 120 grams of Fentanyl, over 450 pills of Hydromorphone, and over $4000 of Canadian currency, along with drug trafficking paraphernalia and prohibited weapons were seized as part of the investigation, as shown in the attached photo.

$30,000 Drug Bust

(DELAMERE, ON) – Two people are facing multiple charges after the Nipissing West Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a suspicious persons call on Highway 69, leading to the seizure of suspected cocaine, methamphetamine, and cash.

On Friday, May 16, 2025, at approximately 12:00 a.m., officers responded to a 911 call reporting two individuals walking in the middle of the divided portion of Highway 69, approximately 45 kilometres south of Sudbury.

Officers located the individuals, who explained that they had run out of gas and parked their vehicle on the shoulder. The pair were transported back to their vehicle. Upon speaking with the driver, officers observed signs of alcohol consumption. The driver was arrested and transported to the Greater Sudbury Police Service detachment for further testing.

A search of the vehicle, conducted incident to arrest, resulted in the seizure of suspected methamphetamine and cocaine, with an estimated street value of $30,000, along with approximately $2,745 in Canadian currency.

Zachary ANDERSON, 30 years-of-age of Oakville, was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – methamphetamine
  • Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine

Abas SHIRE, 32 years-of-age of Brampton, was charged with:

  • Fail to comply with probation order
  • Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5000
  • Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – methamphetamine
  • Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine

The accused individuals remain in custody and are scheduled to appear for before the Ontario Court of Justice in Sudbury on May 16, 2025.

Katelynn HARPELL – Drug Trafficking

(QUINTE WEST, ON) – One person is facing drug trafficking charges after a search warrant was executed in Quinte West, connected to an incident earlier this week.

On Monday, May 12, 2025, the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) East Region Community Street Crime Unit, assisted by the OPP’s Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau, OPP Emergency Response Team and Canine Unit arrested and charged a 26-year-old male for drug and weapons offences.

On Thursday, May 15, 2025, as a result of the ongoing investigation, a search warrant was executed at an apartment on Dundas Street West, in Quinte West where a small quantity of suspected fentanyl was seized. One person was arrested a short time later in downtown Trenton, where officers seized over 4.8 grams of suspected fentanyl, as well as a quantity of suspected heroin.

Katelynn HARPELL, age 29 of Quinte West, has been charged with:

  • Possession of a Schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking – seven counts
  • Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime over $5000

Some of these charges relate to the earlier drug seizure.

The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing before the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville on Friday, May 16, 2025.

Meth Bust – Melissa SEVERIN

(PEMBROKE, ON) – A Petawawa resident is facing charges after an impaired driving investigation resulted in the seizure of suspected methamphetamines.  

On May 12, 2025, at approximately 11:30 p.m. members of the Upper Ottawa Valley (UOV) Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle with occupants parked at a location on John Street in the City of Pembroke. Officers attended the area and located the vehicle. Upon speaking with the driver police entered into an impaired driving investigation. The driver was taken into custody, and testing was conducted by a Drug Recognition Expert (DRE) officer at the detachment. A quantity of suspected methamphetamine was seized during the investigation.  

As a result of this investigation 38-year-old Melissa SEVERIN has been charged with the following Criminal Code (CC) and Controlled Drugs Substances Act (CDSA) offences:

·        Operation while impaired – drugs

·        Possession of a schedule I substance – methamphetamine

The accused had their driver’s licence suspended for 90 days and their vehicle was towed and impounded for seven days. The accused was released to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on June 9, 2025.

Drug Bust

(SELWYN TOWNSHIP, ON) – Members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Peterborough County / Northumberland Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) arrested an individual as a result of a drug trafficking investigation.

In April of 2025, the Peterborough / Northumberland CSCU along with Kawartha Lakes CSCU and the City of Kawartha Lakes Police, began an investigation into trafficking of Fentanyl and Cocaine.

On Thursday May 14, 2025, members of the Peterborough County/Northumberland CSCU located and arrested an individual in Selwyn Township related to the investigation.  

Christoff BROWN (age 29) of Pickering, ON., was arrested and charged with;

·      Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine

·      Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Opioid

·      Fail to comply Release Order – Five counts

The accused was held for Bail to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Peterborough.

As a result of the arrest, the following items were seized;

·      280 grams Cocaine

·      56 grams Fentanyl

·      Two cell phones

At the time of the arrest, the accused was also wanted by the Toronto Police Service.
