18 Year Old Wanted For Murder

Region of Peel – Investigators from the Homicide and Missing Persons Bureau are seeking the public’s assistance in locating a wanted man in relation to a homicide investigation.

On April 23, 2025, it is alleged that the wanted individual shot and killed a young person in the area of Beech Street and Church Street East in Brampton.

As the result of the investigation, Damian Walker, an 18-year-old male from Brampton, was identified as the suspect. Walker is wanted for Second Degree Murder.

Walker is described as approximately 6’0” with a slim build, light complexion, brown curly hair, green eyes, and a rose tattoo on the right side of his neck.

Investigators have reason to believe that Walker may be armed and dangerous. If seen, please do not approach and call 911 immediately.

19 Year Old Facing Murder Charge

(GREENSTONE, ON) – The Greenstone Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged an individual in relation to a death investigation in the Municipality of Greenstone. 

On Thursday, May 15, 2025, at approximately 12:45 a.m., officers responded to a report of a medical emergency. One individual was transported to the hospital, where they were later pronounced deceased.

The deceased has been identified as Brandin RITCH, 32 years old of Greenstone.

As a result of the investigation, Alexis AGGAMWAY, 19 years old of Greenstone, was arrested and charged with the following Criminal Code offence:

·      Second degree murder, section 235(1)

The accused appeared before the Ontario Court of Justice in Thunder Bay and remains in custody.

The OPP North West Region Crime Unit is continuing the investigation under the direction of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch, in conjunction with the Office of the Chief Coroner and the Ontario Forensic Pathology Service. Assistance is being provided by OPP Forensic Identification Services and the OPP Emergency Response Team.

2 Charged In Death Of Child – Names Released

(BRACEBRIDGE, ON) – Police have arrested two individuals in relation to a child death investigation in Gravenhurst.

On Thursday, January 5, 2023, at approximately 7:45 p.m., members from the Bracebridge Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and Muskoka Emergency Services responded to a call for a child who had suffered significant injuries. The child was transported to hospital where they succumbed to their injuries on Saturday, January 7, 2023.

On Tuesday, May 20, 2025, Tyler Phillip WHALE, 24 years old of Brampton, was arrested and charged with second degree murder contrary to section 235(1) of the Criminal Code (CC).

On Wednesday, May 21, 2025, Justine OSBORNE, 33 years old of Gravenhurst, was arrested and charged with failing to provide necessaries of life contrary to section 215(2) of the CC.

Both accused were remanded into custody and are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge on Friday, May 23, 2025.

A publication ban has been issued and as a result, the OPP will not be able to release further information.

The Muskoka OPP Crime Unit is continuing this investigation under the direction of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch, in conjunction with the Office of the Chief Coroner and the Ontario Forensic Pathology Service. Assistance is also being provided by OPP Forensic Identification Services.

Murder – Details Released

(KENORA, ON) – Charges have been laid in connection with a suspicious death that occurred in Wauzhushk Onigum Nation in April 2023.

On Sunday, April 22, 2023, officers from the Kenora Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) assisted Treaty Three Police Service by responding to a call on Pow Wow Island Road in Wauzhushk Onigum Nation to investigate a sudden death. One individual was pronounced deceased at the scene.

As a result of the investigation, Ronald Stone, 45 years old of Wauzhushk Onigum Nation has been arrested and charged with second degree murder contrary to section 235 (1) of the Criminal Code.

The accused is being  held in custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Kenora on Tuesday, April 15, 2025.

The OPP North West Region Crime Unit, OPP Forensic Identification Services Unit, Regional Support Team, Office of the Chief Coroner and OPP Emergency Response Team are assisting the Treaty Three Police Service as they continue the investigation, under the direction of OPP Criminal Investigation Branch.

15 Year Old Repeat Offender Charged With Attempt Murder #3Strikes #SS&S

(MOOSONEE, ON) – A young person has been arrested and charged in connection with an assault investigation in Moosonee.

On Thursday, April 10, 2025, at approximately 8:00 p.m., the James Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and Weeneebayko Area Health Authority (WAHA) Paramedic Service responded to a report of an unresponsive person at a residence on Hutchison Road. An individual with serious injuries was transported to the hospital by ambulance.

As a result of the investigation, officers executed a warrant at a residence on Hutchison Road and arrested one individual.

A 15-year-old from Shelburne, Ont. has been charged with the following Criminal Code offences:

·        Attempt to commit murder, section 239(1)(b)

·        Aggravated Assault, section 268

·        Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, section 88

·        Obstruct peace officer, section 129(a)

·        Failure to comply with release order, section 145(5)(a) – two counts

The accused remains in custody pending a bail hearing before the Ontario Court of Justice in Moosonee.

The name of the accused is protected under the Youth Criminal Justice Act (YCJA) and will not be released.

The James Bay OPP Crime Unit is continuing the investigation under the direction the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch.

One Dead – Dylan ROBERTS Facing Manslaughter Charge

(MUNICIPALITY OF TRENT HILLS, ON) – One person has been arrested and charged following the death of an inmate from Warkworth Institution.

On Friday, January 3, 2025, members of the Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were advised of an incident that resulted in an inmate being transported to a local hospital and later airlifted to another medical centre. The 30-year-old inmate from Toronto was later pronounced deceased.

As a result of the investigation, on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, Dylan ROBERTS, 25 years old of Loyalist Township, was arrested and charged with Manslaughter contrary to section 236(b) of the Criminal Code.

The accused has been remanded into custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg on at a later date.

This investigation is being led by the OPP Northumberland Crime Unit, under the direction of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch.

Another Murder

(CLARENCE-ROCKLAND, ON) -The Russell County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is releasing the identification of a homicide victim in Clarence-Rockland.

On Friday, April 4, 2025, shortly before 3:00 p.m., officers were called to a residence on Lalonde Street. One person was transported to hospital and pronounced deceased.

The deceased has been identified as Dharmeshkumar Vallabhabhai KATHIREEYA, age 29 of Clarence-Rockland.

As a result of the investigation, one person has since been charged with second degree murder.

The Russell County OPP Crime Unit is continuing the investigation under the direction of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch, in conjunction with the Office of the Chief Coroner and the Ontario Forensic Pathology Service. Assistance is being provided by OPP Forensic Identification Services.

Repeat Offender Arrested For Murder

(FORT FRANCES, ON) – A missing person has been located deceased, and one person has been arrested and charged with second degree murder in Fort Frances.  

On Thursday, April 3, 2025, members of the Fort Frances Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a missing person, identified as Curtis MEDICINE, 41 years old of Rainy River First Nation. On Saturday, April 5, 2025, police located the male deceased in a residence on Fifth Street West.

A postmortem will be conducted at the Ontario Forensic Pathology Service (OFPS) in Toronto.

As a result of the investigation, Joseph DESROSIERS, 53 years old of Fort Frances, was arrested and charged with the following Criminal Code offences:

·      Second degree murder, section 235(1)

·      Indignity to dead body, section 182(b)

·      Failure to comply with release order, section 145(5)(a)

The accused has been remanded into custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Fort Frances on Wednesday, April 9, 2025.

There is no threat to public safety. Residents can continue to expect a police presence in the area for the investigation.

Murder – 83 Year Old Arrested

(CLARENCE-ROCKLAND, ON) -The Russell County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged one person with second degree murder in connection with a homicide investigation in Clarence-Rockland.

On Friday, April 4, 2025, shortly before 3:00 p.m., officers were called to a residence on Lalonde Street. One person was transported to hospital and pronounced deceased. One person was taken into custody.

The death was determined to be a homicide.

As a result of the investigation, Gilles MARTEL, age 83 of Clarence-Rockland, was charged with second degree murder contrary to section 235(1) of the Criminal Code.

The accused remains in custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Ottawa on Monday, April 7, 2025.

Investigators believe there is no threat to public safety.

The investigation is in its early stages, and no further details can be released at this time. Residents should expect to continue to see a police presence in the area.

Another Charged In Murder Investigation

(CARLETON PLACE, ON) – An Ottawa resident is facing charges in connection with an ongoing investigation into a murder in Carleton Place.

On November 12, 2023, 50-year-old Rose KERWIN was located deceased in the Mississippi River near the Village of Pakenham.  

Two people, a 56-year-old man from Carleton Place and a 23-year-old woman from Iroquois, were arrested on December 19, 2023, and were charged with First Degree Murder.

On April 2, 2025, members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) arrested another individual in connection with Rose KERWIN’s death, in relation to the disposal of the victim’s car.

Wayne Gerald SMITH, age 65, has been charged with Being an Accessory After the Fact to Murder, section 240 of the Criminal Code. The accused appeared for a bail hearing, was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Brockville on May 5, 2025.

Police continue to search for KERWIN’s vehicle, which is described as a blue 2013 Mazda GX four-door sedan with Ontario licence plate CSXW383. Multiple public appeals have been made to locate the car.

OPP East Region Criminal Operations is continuing to investigate, under the direction of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB), with assistance from OPP Forensic Identification Services, in conjunction with the Office of the Chief Coroner and Ontario Forensic Pathology Service.
